Photography

The Photography department focuses on a classical foundation of traditional black and white film exposure, development and enlargement. Students are encouraged to caputure compelling, personal images and to achieve the best possible print from their negatives. Digital imaging in the form of restoration and presentation are also covered in every class. Advanced students explore larger format cameras, color photography and independent projects. All students learn to complete their work, to mount and matte their images and to enter photography contests.
