LREI: Parents Association
Parents Association

LREI Parents Association

In true LREI form, the focus of the school year has been on community-building, and we thank everyone for the enthusiastic support shown over the past few months.

At the two PA Welcome Fairs, we signed up lots of new parent volunteers to help on committees and events.   Reflecting LREI's wide-ranging interests, meetings by the Lower and Middle School Parents of Children of Color (POCOC), the Lesbian Gay Straight Alliance, the Adoption Committee, the Community Service Committee, and the Food Committee continue in full force.   In addition, the Asian-American Families Committee and the two divisional POCOC Committees each held welcome breakfasts, and the parent SEED (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity) proceeds with its year-long dialogue on diversity topics.   Organizing for school-wide events is in full swing as the Big Auction, Karamu! and Literary Committees have gathered and planned, with the Literary Committee hosting a Learn Your Library breakfast in October and the upcoming Book Week in December and the Halloween Fair Committee successfully holding another fantastic, spooky affair at the Thompson Athletic Center!

As we head towards winter break, please make sure to check the Calendar of Events so you don't miss all the great events planned for the remainder of this semester.

Our gratitude for all you do to make LREI events so collaborative and successful, and best wishes to the entire LREI community!
