Conditions of Sale
1. The estimate is the retail price as provided to the Auction Committee by the artist or the artist's representative. The artwork will not be sold for less than the listed minimum bid.
2. All dimensions are listed in inches. All works are offered in "as is" condition, as exhibited, including the backing and Plexiglass when used in place of frames. All information listed on the bid sheet, in the catalog and on the label is based on the information from the artists or their representatives. The Auction Committee bears no responsibility for error.
3. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auction Committee shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the Auction Committee shall have the sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder. If any dispute arises, the Auction Committee's sales records shall be conclusive in all respects.
4. Final bidding will end in each of the three galleries independently in 15 minute intervals starting at 8pm. At that time should there still be active bidding on one or more piece, by bidders present or their proxies, bidding will continue on those contested items until a winning bid has been established by an appointed Art Auction Arbitrator.
5. The Auction Committee reserves the right to withdraw any artwork from the auction at any time.
6. The Auction Committee will contact successful bidders as soon as possible and advise them as to the location and times they can claim their artwork. Art work can be purchased, paid for and picked up immediately following the auction on February 7th. Otherwise, all works of art must be purchased and picked up the following week, February 11th through the 15th at the school, 272 Sixth Avenue (at Bleecker Street). Phone the Office of Advancement (212) 477-5316 ext. 275 for an appointment. Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Checks should be made payable to LREI.
7. All sales are final. No purchases can be returned, refunded, or exchanged. Full risk and responsibility for the art object will become the purchaser's at the time of possession.
8. The purchaser may request a written receipt from the Development Office. Amounts paid over the estimated value will be acknowledged as a charitable contribution, tax-deductible as allowed by law.
9. Any bid placed that does not follow the correct increment will be automatically increased to the correct level.
Auction Rules
All bidders must register and obtain a number before placing any bids. All bids for the silent auction must be placed in writing on the bidding forms using the bidder's registration number.
Bids will be accepted in increments as follows:

Auction winners who are not present at the end of the auction will be notified by telephone by Tuesday, February 12th .
