Children in Little Red Summer Camp are placed in home groups according to age. These groups provide a consistent base for camp days through morning and afternoon meetings, structured activities, lunch, rest, and outdoor recreation.

Campers also choose specific activity classes , which meet regularly for the length of a session. These choice classes provide opportunities for children to spend in-depth time doing both new and familiar activities that interest them.

The entire camp gathers on Wednesday mornings for All Camp Choice.   Four through ten year- olds have a chance to get to know each other and have fun doing activities that are designed for all campers to participate in. Wednesday afternoons are filled with collaborative activities between home groups, theme day activities (for example, "Beach Day" or "Circus Day"), and opportunities for choice classes to share what they have been learning with the larger camp.

All camp groups travel off-site weekly for Field Trip Fridays. We take chartered buses to age-appropriate locations for activities that are educational and lots of fun.

The last Friday of Little Red Summer Camp, August 1st , is Camp Share Day. We welcome you to come to LREI in the afternoon to see what we've been up to and to share in our celebration of the camp season.
