LREI's Fourth Grade Moving-Up Ceremony
LREI
Shortly after 8:45am on Monday, June 12th, fourth grade students, families, and faculty convened for the annual fourth grade Moving-Up ceremony at the Sixth Avenue campus.
The occasion marked a first for Lower School Principal, Elena Jaime, who just completed her first year at LREI.
It was a busy year for the division, filled with highlights that included Election Day exit polling, learning how to program robots during Science Night, and countless other special events and memories.
During her remarks, Elena spoke of the essential role that parents play in the vibrancy of our community, "it is with deep gratitude that I thank you for entrusting your hearts to our community." She also credited the outstanding faculty and staff for the success of the division. "You have sought to make space for the students to think deeply and critically," Elena explained, "It’s been an extraordinary year. I have seen you (fourth graders) ask important questions, think deeply about big issues, and challenge assumptions in the world."
