The LREI varsity girls basketball team got off to a great start, beating Friends Seminary 48 - 34, in the first round of the LREI Tip-Off Tournament. Point guard Alexa had 10 points, and shooting guard Ruby had 7. Acadia caught fire in the 2nd half, scoring 19 total points in the game, leading all scorers. Melissa, Natalie, Loulou and Monica all scored, and played great defense. They will play the defending Tip-Off Tournament champions, Grace Church in a rematch of last year's tournament final on Friday.
