PA Multicultural Committee Presents: KARAMU 2019 - A celebration of Family, Food, Music, Dance, and Culture.

Live performances by:

Lei Pasifika: A performance group focused on sharing the music and dances of the Pacific Islands from Tahiti to Hawaii. Since 2008, their mission is to share and cultivate these exotic cultures through dance classes, costume workshops, and performances. They believe dance is an expression of creativity but also a shared experience among people.

Brooklyn United Evolution Drumline: These skilled musicians showcase drum and cadence talents they have developed and perfected with the help of BU's music and art professionals. This drumline packs the house every time, promising quality entertainment with spirited rhythm and street beat moves.

Skins N Strings: The band celebrates their Caribbean, Latin American, and African heritage through the dynamic and explosive blend of the violin and the djembe. The band was founded in Brooklyn, NY in 2015 by vocalist and percussionist Okai and Latin Grammy Award Winner violinist Luisa Bastidas.
