Goals on either side of halftime punctuated a physical game and a huge defensive effort that laid down a marker at the top of the ISAL. It took until late in the first half for the Knights to break through against a resolute BWL side, but the second half saw a flurry of goals that left no doubt about the result. With the win LREI grab a hold of first place in the ISAL with a massive contest against Dwight looming on the horizon.
LREI continues to try to find itself in second consecutive defeat against an early season nonleague opponent. Early goals proved too much to overcome despite a timely answer to the first goal Hewitt scored. The Knights fall to 0-2-1 in 2023.
Cassidy Moskowitz has her second multi-goal game in a row to lead the Knights past York Prep. Fellow senior Finn Byrne opened the scoring, while freshman Sookie Lee also got a goal and two assists. The Knights move up in the table as they gain momentum in the league.

LREI managed to shake off the early season jitters of their nonleague games to dominate the contest, with senior Cassidy Moskowitz registering a hat trick.
After an even first half, with senior Alexa Leitner evening the game up in the 21st minute, the Knights came off the rails a bit in the second period against a tough NYCAL opponent, UNIS.
