Afterschool Program
Afterschool at LREI is a continuation of play, creativity, and learning that extends beyond the school day. As a division of the School, Afterschool enriches the LREI experience by providing opportunities for students to develop skills for creative expression and to work and grow together in a safe environment. Our Afterschool programs are built on the belief that children thrive when they feel safe, supported by the adults and peers around them, and when they have both the structure and space to follow their interests.
LREI's Afterschool Core program is included in tuition for 4s and kindergarten students. For the Afterschool Core program in grades 1-6, financial aid is available.

Core Afterschool is divided by age into three groups: Reds (for 4s and kindergarten), Oranges (for first and second graders), and Blues (for third through eighth graders). Core runs Monday through Friday; every day there is a full day of school. Core Afterschool follows a weekly schedule of featured activities from 2:45/3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The Enrichment Program comprises a variety of specialized classes that provide children with the opportunity to focus on various creative and physical disciplines throughout a session. Classes are tailored to specific age groups. Possible offerings include karate, baking, chess, gymnastics, woodworking, ball games, and more.
Instrumental Lessons meet once a week for one-on-one instruction in voice, piano, drums, guitar, ukulele, trumpet, recorder, clarinet, saxophone, or flute.
