Afterschool Program
Afterschool at LREI carries forward the play, creativity, and learning of the school day, giving students a chance to unwind, explore, and imagine in new ways. As an extension of the School, it offers meaningful opportunities for children to express themselves, build skills, and grow together in a supportive setting. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, encouraged, and free to pursue their interests within a thoughtful structure.
*LREI's Afterschool Core program is included in tuition for 4s and Kindergarten students.

Core Afterschool is the heart of our program, led by a team of experienced and creative educators. Each afternoon, Core teachers shape a close-knit community within the larger school, where children are encouraged to connect, collaborate, and grow through hands-on, experiential learning. Core is divided by age into Reds (4s–1st grade) and Blues (2nd–8th grade). Both groups follow a weekly rhythm of featured activities from dismissal until 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday on all full school days.
The Enrichment Program offers a range of specialized classes that let children dive deeper into creative and physical disciplines. Each class is tailored to a specific age group and led by skilled instructors. Offerings include Karate, Cooking, Chess, Gymnastics, Woodworking, Ball Games, LEGO Builders, and more.
Instrumental Lessons meet once a week for 30 minute one-on-one instruction in voice, piano, drums, bass, guitar, ukulele, recorder, clarinet, saxophone, or flute.
The Drop-in Program gives families the flexibility to sign their child up for a single day of Core Afterschool whenever needed. It’s a helpful option for families who don’t plan to join the full session but may want care on a less regular basis.
