As an independent school, we rely on the generosity of our families and friends. Gifts of all kinds and all sizes are greatly appreciated. Below are ways your voluntary support can impact our community and your family’s experience at LREI.
The Fund for LREI, our annual fund, is the cornerstone of the school’s fundraising efforts. Each year, LREI relies on unrestricted Fund for LREI contributions to provide educational resources for students and faculty not covered by tuition alone. The generosity of our community allows us to provide peer-leading financial aid, fee-free overnight trips to every 3rd-11th grader, faculty professional development, over 150 field trips each year, and enriching co-curricular activities.
Your gift is an investment in LREI's remarkable educational experience. Click here to donate to The Fund for LREI.

Contribute to LREI’s future by planning for a special gift, such as a bequest in your Will or Trust, or through a Charitable Gift Annuity to receive payments for life. Gift planning is a meaningful way to honor your or your child’s experience at LREI while ensuring similarly transformative experiences for future generations of students. There are many ways you can make a gift that will cost you nothing today, or help you make a tax-wise investment in your future. Additionally, with your legacy gift, LREI will proudly recognize you as a member of the Elisabeth Irwin Heritage Society.
For more information about making a bequest or to learn about other arrangements to support LREI’s mission and leave a lasting legacy, please get in touch with Director of Advancement Jenny Weil at [email protected] or 212-477-5320.In addition to essential financial support, we also rely on the remarkable volunteer spirit within the LREI community. Whether helping to create school-wide events, serving on a committee, acting as a class parent, or organizing one of our annual auctions, our dedicated parents and alums play an essential role in shaping who we are.
