Our Advancement Program

LREI hosts one additional major fundraising event each year, alternating between the Big Shindig (a fun celebration featuring a silent auction) and the Art Party and Auction. Both are important, long-standing community events that raise vital funds for our program, separate from The Fund for LREI.

From time to time, our administration identifies a particular program or facility need and will seek funding from the LREI community. These restricted gifts are for a specific purpose and are separate from the Fund for LREI.

A stock gift may have significant tax advantages for you. By donating appreciated shares, you avoid paying capital gains tax and receive a charitable deduction.

More than 1,500 U.S. companies offer the benefit of matching charitable gifts made by their employees. It's a great way to double or even triple your donation. Request a matching gift form from your employer and send it in completed with your gift. We'll take care of the rest!

LREI welcomes grant recommendations from donor-advised funds in support of our mission. Our Tax ID/EIN is 13-5562268 (Little Red School House Inc.).

Make a gift to The Fund for LREI in memory or honor of a teacher or loved one. This thoughtful gesture will be recognized in the LREI Annual Report.

Contribute to LREI’s future by planning for a special gift, such as a bequest in your Will or Trust, or through a Charitable Gift Annuity to receive payments for life. Gift planning is a meaningful way to honor your or your child’s experience at LREI while ensuring similarly transformative experiences for future generations of students. In addition to essential financial support, we also rely on the remarkable volunteer spirit within the LREI community. Whether helping to create school-wide events, serving on a committee, acting as a class parent, or organizing one of our annual auctions, our dedicated parents and alums play an essential role in shaping who we are.
