Daniel joined the faculty at LREI in 2018 as a science teacher. He teaches 9th grade Chemistry, in addition to 11th and 12th grade biology electives including Introduction to Neuroscience, Evolutionary Biology, and Conservation Biology. He received a B.S. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Integrated Neuroscience from Yale University. In addition to teaching, he is a student advisor and also acts as faculty supervisor for the student Asian affinity club, High ExpectAsians, and the school newspaper, the Knightly News.
Kara joined the LREI faculty in 2017 as a science teacher. She teaches 9th grade Chemistry in addition to upper level electives that have included Microbiology, Biochemistry, Materials Science, and Food Sustainability. Kara earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Tabor College in Kansas, and has taken graduate courses in chemistry and physics from Fort Hays State University. In addition to teaching, Kara also serves as an advisor, new faculty mentor, and oversees chemistry peer tutoring.
Kelly joined the LREI faculty in 2014 as a science teacher and is currently the science department chair. She teaches 10th grade Physics and 11th and 12th grade electives which include Biomechanics, Computational Modeling, Optics & Acoustics, Modern Physics, and Sustainable Energy Use. Kelly earned a B.S. and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to teaching, she serves as the advisor to the yearbook, physics peer tutoring club, Students for Democracy, and an advisor to high school students.
