Karyn joined the faculty at LREI in 2004 as the High School Librarian. She teaches information, visual, and media literacy in our co-curricular program and collaborates in classes across the HS with a focus on research skills. She also runs library programming and manages the Charlton Library collection, as well as serving as Director of Digital Resources for all divisions. Karyn received her B.A. from Kenyon College in English Literature and her M.L.S. from SUNY Albany with a focus on youth services. In addition to her role in the library, Karyn coordinates Senior Project, is an advisor for the class of 2025, and supports several student clubs. Outside LREI, Karyn has served on several book selection and policy committees for the American Library Association and the Hudson Valley Library Association; she also reviews young adult literature for Kirkus Magazine.
