Adèle joined the faculty at LREI in 1976 as a French teacher. She is the World Language Chair and teaches French II-IV. She also teaches French V, which is an advanced level literature and culture class. She earned a B.A. in French language and literature and education from Marymount College in Tarrytown and attended the Sorbonne University in Paris. She also completed graduate level classes at NYU in French literature. In addition, Adèle also serves as the 12th Grade Dean.
Jessica joined the faculty at LREI in 2016 as a Mandarin teacher. She teaches Mandarin II-V to 9th-12th graders. Her classes cover both Chinese culture and important conversational topics. Jessica earned a Master’s degree in TESOL and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from New York University Steinhardt. In addition to teaching, she supervises Anime Club and Animal Justice club. She also serves as a high school advisor.
Catherine joined the faculty at LREI in 2014 as a Mandarin teacher. She teaches Mandarin I-IV and serves as a high school advisor. Before coming to LREI, Catherine also taught at China Institute and Calhoun School. Catherine earned a Masters in Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language from Hunter College. She is certified in teaching 7th-12th grade Chinese in New York State. In addition to teaching, Catherine has been an active member of the Chinese teacher leadership program in Asia Society and holds teacher training conferences and workshops.
