Jerry joined LREI in 2004, first as a tutor, and then joined the faculty as a high school learning specialist. She brings extensive experience to the high school in early childhood, middle school, special education, and private tutoring. Jerry graduated from Oberlin college with a B.A. degree in English, and earned an Ed.M. in Special Education from Bank Street College. During after school hours, Jerry keeps the Learning Center open to allow students to come for help at the end of their busy days.
Brian joined the LREI faculty in 2021. He teaches World Literature and electives including Modern and Contemporary American Poetry, Surrealist Literature, Documentary Poetics, as well as writing workshops in various genres. He holds a B.A. in Literary Studies and Writing from The New School and an M.A. in Adolescent English Education from Hunter College. In addition to teaching, he is a SEED co-facilitator, an advisor, and a coach for the high school boys’ soccer team.
