Gentlemen and family,
We are now less than one week away from our first meeting of the 2012 season! Next Monday, August 20th we will be holding our first practice. This announcement is to inform you of the practice schedule for the 2 weeks (and change) of preseason that lead up to school beginning on the 6th of September, let you know what you need to bring to be prepared for practice, and provide you with the paperwork that will be collected from every player. We are including the adults of the players on this email since we do not have personal emails from all players, or are uncertain what the preferred email is for some players.
1 - Preseason practice schedule: Below are the dates, times, and places that each practice session will be held at. We will meet at these locations. The start time listed is the time that practice will begin, so come early enough to get your spikes and guards on before we start. Our recommendation is to arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes before hand. If everyone arrives and is prepared on time then we will be able to end practice at the posted time.

2 - What To Bring To Be Prepared: As you can tell from the practice schedule we have a variety of times and places to be prepared for. Please bring the following list of items to each practice:
Flats - We have multiple practices on indoor or turf surfaces that will require you to have some kind of flats. These may be indoor soccer shoes or running shoes you are both comfortable running in and playing in. As with all shoes it is best if these are not new or being worn for the first time at practice.
Cleats - Not all fields we play on this year will be turf. As well we may have to play in inclement weather. To reduce the risk of injuries it is best if you own spikes. These should also not be new or worn for the first time at practice.
Shin guards - They may be over-the-heel style or a slip-in style. Whatever you find most comfortable, but they MUST cover your entire shin.
A water bottle - Should be of a significant size, and should come to each practice full.
3 - Paperwork: The forms needed are the Attendance & Conduct Form, the Interval History for Sports Participation and the Athletics Parent Permission Form which includes the Travel Consent Form. These can be downloaded from our website, except for the Conduct Form, which the coaches will hand out. The sooner these items are filled out appropriately and returned the better. We can provide additional copies after next week if needed, but all players must read, appropriately fill out, sign, and initial, and return to us in order to be able to play in our first game. We will be expecting them before that.
As always, if there are any questions or concerns (from player or adult) you are free to contact us by email or phone any time between now and the beginning of practice next week. We're excited to get started and confident that you are going to come in ready to play hard and begin what we know is going to be a great season.
