The Financial Aid Process

  • We require families applying for financial aid to complete the School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) form online.
  • Click the link “Complete your Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS)” and proceed as directed.
  • The LREI school code is 4664.
  • The deadline for submission of materials is December 15, 2018.
Applicants must fully complete the PFS, including estimates for 2019 income and expenses and a response to Item 21 (“How much do you believe you can afford for educational expenses for the 2019-20 school year for each child you support?”). Please provide additional details for any items that require explanation and to clarify any unusual family circumstances. There is an application fee, which is submitted directly to SSS.
 
SSS will not process incomplete PFS forms. For questions not answered by SSS’ online instructions, there is an SSS Helpline at 800-344-8328, or via email: sss@nais.org

The PFS form and instructions are also available in Spanish on the SSS website.
 
Applicants are further required to sign and return the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 4506, which permits us to obtain tax return information from the IRS. This form should be completed for tax years 2016 and 2017 and signed and dated. There is no fee associated with the submission of this form. Please note that the completion of the IRS 4506 form does not substitute for the required federal tax documentation we must have on file.
