Throwing, catching, bouncing, passing, hitting, kicking, running, and laughing! Using soccer, kickball, volleyball, baseball, basketball and more as inspiration, we will develop hand-eye coordination and teamwork skills all in an extremely encouraging, positive environment.
In this project-based class we will use various art materials to create things that we can then use in class (and bring home!). Everything from puppets, to props and accessories, to original games. Come join us in the makers' workshop!
Let’s play! All we need is a ball. Bounce Out, Nukem, Four Square, Dodgeball, Wall Ball. We’ll play them all. Students will learn and play classic ball games that have stood the test of time. Then we’ll put our own spin on some favorites that students can take to the schoolyard.
In Afterschool Woodworking, children further their exploration of tools and wood. They use tools they are familiar with, and they choose what they want to make.[1/9-6/5 (make-up 6/12), 16 classes]
Let's cook together! We will explore some basic techniques and then whip up some delicious culinary creations. We will make everything from main courses and side dishes, to appetizers and desserts. We will cook up dishes that are guaranteed to become family favorites.
Get ready to play Gaga! This old school ball game is beloved by all and has influenced camp deeply throughout the years. Get ready to slap, jump, dodge, and dive your way to glory!
Have you ever wanted to be the hero of a fantasy tale? Well, here's your chance! D&D and other role-playing games are a great way to do this. We will create our own universe to play in and create new identities. Become a wizard and solve your problems with magic, become a warrior who smashes all their problems away, or become a bard and sing about your problems all day long (or anything in between). We'll learn the basics of role-playing games as we take the game into the real world, by creating characters, getting gear, and having an epic campaign!
